The philosophy of the Center is based on structuring a program with the child as the center or core of the curriculum.  Respect for the individual is extremely important to the development of creativity.
The manner in which a child learns is given prime consideration and the philosophy of the Center considers the following areas to be of great value.
  1. Respect for the individual, no matter how young; the individual's right to develop creatively in an environment provided
  2. The Arts and Science are integral to the life and growth of the young child; they cannot be separated from the development of the preschool and elementary school child
  3. A thorough understanding of child development and growth for it is only in fully appreciating the stages of human growth that a program can be adapted to young children
  4. A creative and colorful environment for the child, utilizing a multi-sensory approach which stimulates perception through active involvement
  5. A structured learning environment so that sensory activity can be of utmost importance because only through the use of the senses can effective learning take place
  6. Early learning through play, basing the curriculum on natural experiences that are familiar to the child; the known experiences of the child leading to that which is unknown, thus introducing new concepts
  7. The value of positive reinforcement in establishing self-assurance, thus encouraging the children to try new things
