Mercy Center of the Arts Preschool is a unique correlated program of art, science, music, dramatic movement and literature. We also offer summer camp for children ages 4 to 8. We are a peanut free facility.
The Center's preschool program is open to children who are three and older. Three year old children attend two days a week, and four and five year old children may choose between two or three mornings a week
The correlated, multi-sensory curriculum is based on natural experiences that are familiar to the child. Perceptual development through the senses is emphasized.
Children work in small age-based class groups of 10 to 12 children per teacher. Each morning the children rotate through our three classrooms for experiences in each area.
As a sponsored ministry of the Sisters of Mercy, we commit ourselves particularly to children, by awakening them to truth, love, wonder and beauty in order to nourish healthy human development. The philosophy of the Center is based on structuring a program with the child as the center or core of the curriculum.
