Our Philosophy

We consider the following

to be of great importance:

  • Respect for the individual, no matter how young; the individual's right to develop creatively in the provided environment
  • Art, Music, Literature and Science: they are integral to the life and growth of the young child; they cannot be separated from the development of the preschool and elementary school child
  • A thorough understanding of child development and growth, for it is only in fully appreciating the stages of human growth that a program can be adapted to young children
  • A creative and colorful environment for the child, utilizing a multi-sensory approach which stimulates perception through active involvement
  • A structured learning environment so that sensory activity can be of utmost importance: only through the use of the senses can effective learning take place
  • Early learning through play, basing the curriculum on natural experiences that are familiar to the child; the known experiences of the child leading to that which is unknown, thus introducing new concepts
  • The value of positive reinforcement in fostering self assurance, thus encouraging the children to try new things.
